FLIPTOP TOOL STAND

  • This stand is ideal for saving floor space by storing a lesser used bench-top tool on the underside of the top and a more commonly used bench-top tool available for use on top.
  • Examples of tools for which this stand can be used are Router Table, Jigsaw, Miter Saw, Spindle Sander, Bench Grinder, Mortise Cutting Tool, Small Bandsaw, Disc Sander, Belt Sander, Pocket Hole Jig, Small Welder and others.
  • Also, a single bench-top tool can be stored under the top allowing the top side to be used for additional work bench space.
  • The main advantage of this stand is the ease of rotating the top; there are not pins or latches, The top is positioned with linkages. The weight of both tools holds the top down securely on the stand.
  • The stand also features a convenient accessories drawer and pedal operated retracting casters.
  • The plans are based on a second generation stand built solely for the purpose of publishing plans and which incorporates some minor improvements over the original stand.

  • Complete step-by-step construction and assembly instructions with seven pages of description and thirty eight color images.
  • In addition, published on You Tube, are four videos describing construction of the stand.
