Miter Saw Stand Plan Features.

• Minimum footprint
• Pedal operated retracting casters
• Fold-up work support wings; “Jackknife” braces fall into place when wings raised. An upward touch on the brace allows the wing to fold down.
• A convenient accessories drawer
• A foot pedal operated tip-out bin for cut-off scrap pieces.
• A storage bin (for extra blades?) with a hinged door

Dust collection hood with provision for a 4 inch hose connection at the base of the hood and a two inch hose connection at the saw guard.

Plans will be based on a second generation stand built solely for the purpose of publishing plans. First generation stand is for a 12 inch non-sliding Mitersaw; second generation will have a larger dust hood to accommodate a sliding mitersaw.

This stand is designed for the small workshop with limited floor space. It is not intended for moving from jobsite to jobsite; there are many commercially available “wheelbarrow” type stands better suited to remote jobsite use.
